Mixed patterns quilt.
Dress in two parts—bodice and skirt. Long sleeved cream bodice with a high neck. The collar is light orange velvet with knife pleats. Around the waist is the same velvet, which crosses in the front. Across the chest and down the arms, the fabric has diagonal stripes with an orange paisley and floral pattern, bordered by stripes with a black paisley pattern. The section across the chest is outlined with black floral appliques. Across the collarbone and the stomach is sheer beige fabric that is heavily pleated. This fabric has black appliques on it. The cream fabric crosses the mid-back and goes under the arms and across the shoulders. The sheer fabric continues around to the back. The collar becomes higher in the back. There is a thin ribbon of orange velvet with a bow around the wrists. The bodice is fully lined and boned. The floor length skirt made of cream striped fabric striped with an orange paisley and floral design outlined by stripes with a black paisley pattern. Three layers of ruffles are at the bottom, but the ruffles stop at the side. The ruffles are lined with a sheer fabric and black lace. The back has a small train. A cotton underskirt has been attached, but it is not original. Hook and eye closures in the back.

Large, square cotton quilt, pieced, in the "Crown of Thorns" pattern, also known as the "Rocky Mountain Road" pattern and since the 1930s, has also been classified as one of the "New York Beauty" patterns, against a white ground a grid of nine blocks defined by orange-red bands with green dogtooth motifs on either side, these same bands form the border of the quilt, the lines intersected by small, square medallions centered with green and orange-red star-like, floral motifs, at the interior corners of each square a half sunburst pattern with serrated edge in the same orange-red fabric, which, when the blocks are placed side by side, form circles at the corners of each block.
