Quilt, "Everybody" or "Sampler" pattern, Nora Ezell, textiles
Quilt in the "Wagon Wheels" pattern with, on a cream-colored cotton ground, six "wheels" in grid format each comprised of a central round hub sewn of four or more wedges and with 12 spikes made of various, colorful cotton calico prints with yellow and green stripes in between, the multicolored patched lining on the reverse of different calico prints.
Small face jug of red stoneware covered with a dark brown opaque glaze, the two large ears protrude from the sides of the face, the eyes are wideset and dark, the nose is large and bulbous, with raised eyebrows, the open mouth below a rounded mustache reveals six white, crooked teeth, with incised decoration around the spout and on the handle.
Large quilt of printed and plain cotton in a variation of the Log Cabin pattern, hand stitched and pieced with on the top a grid of squares on an angle of alternating solid teal green and colorful printed cotton, these each comprised of a smaller square and two rectangular pieces placed together in an L, the printed cotton in geometric, stripped, floral, and paisley patterns in shades of black, pink, blue, green, beige and brown, as well as plain white, the back of a woven unbleached cotton, edged in the same solid teal green cotton.
