An abstract ground of aqueous blues and greens fill the image. An elongated, yellow and green plant form seems suspended on the top layer of the composition.
A geometric pattern familiar from many global traditions--whether textiles like American quilts, Persian carpets, Laotian appliques, and Bhutanese kira or tiled walls and floors or woodwork, Amighi has here harnessed patterns into a metal-and-shadow sculpture. The tightly tessellated pattern gradually disintegrates both in its shadow and in its form. Work includes a light in addition to the metal and fiberglass mesh sculpture.
