Pair of tall, footed covered vases in black basalt, urn shaped and resting on small square plinths decorated with a repeating geometric pattern on each side, the foot and stems as well as the body above the shoulder and neck are engine turned, the lower body with acanthus leaves that extend upward and the main body with swags of leafy grape vines and bunches of grapes, each has two handles comprised of satyr masks, whose long horns curve up and around and attach to the lip of the vase, with fluted covers with ball finials (not identical).
