The totemic design is well done but rather recent. The paint is vermilion and ball bluing blue. Totemic designs occupy two sides and a design (see card) is on each of the other sides. The box is of red cedar, pegged side and bottom. New looking almost.

Cylindrical vessel with painted, rawhide interior and tanned white deer hide exterior; beaded imagery includes woman dangling from rope and two trees; stars and constellations in Swarovski crystals; porcupines, hands, ants, and portrait heads are in silver.
The joints are all fastened with wood pegs. No top. Practically the same design on both sides. (See diagram on accession card.)
