Bust slightly left.
Cream jug of buff-colored caneware with applied dark gray-green stoneware relief decoration in the Darwin pattern, the body with a design of vertical fern fronds, alternating larger and smaller, and whorls of the marsh plant mare's tail, below the lip a band with the stem of the same plant, with loop handle that is angled at the top, and elongated spout.
Creamware flatback figure of Aunt Chloe from "Uncle Tom's Cabin" standing in full figure on a round base, her arms, face and shoes are glazed black, otherwise her two-piece dress and headscarf as well as the basket she holds in her left hand are white and picked out in bronze lustre, with the name AUNT CHLOE written in bronze script on the front of the base.
