Oval basalt medallion with Herculaneum dancer, with gilt self-frame
Oval medallion of white jasper with green dip and white bas relief of Poor Maria – a young woman seated under a tree, weeping, with a small dog – mounted in a steel bracelet, the medallion held to the face with prongs, the surrounding border engraved with crosshatching and on either side a simple flower with leafy motifs, the band is attached to the face with hinges and is engraved with a stippled border and on either side a triangle with similar leafy motifs, with adjustable hook and chain clasp.
Solid light blue jasper tea bowl and saucer decorated with applied white jasper relief, the saucer a slightly darker blue (the tea bowl and saucer are a marriage) with engine turning on the underside and overlapping white acanthus leaves around the interior rim, the tea bowl is slightly wonky from firing with applied images of cherubs at play with dogs and butterflies, and a chariot pulled by a lion.
Small silver tea caddy spoon, the bowl shell-shaped and the handle slightly curved and decorated with bright cut engraving in a pattern of dots and swags, with an oval reserve at the tip designed for a monogram (left empty).
