Jug of black basalt with encaustic painting, derived from the Greek "oenochoe" form, the foot and body above the shoulder and neck are engine turned, the main body with an image of Daedalus building his wings below a tear drop border that extends around the body below the shoulder, with red trim around the lip and stem and a band of beading around the upper neck.

Small, slender, heavily engraved silver sugar tongs the arms straight and decorated with bright cut engraving in a repeating pattern of floral and leafy motifs, the pointed wells with cross hatching, with an oval reserve designed for a monogram (left empty) between cross hatching and leafy elements.
Simple silver sugar tongs decorated with bright cut engraving in a pattern of narrow, curving, intersecting bands comprised of scallops and dots, at the curved end in an oval reserve engraved the initials HMB, the pointed bowls with minimal prick-dot engraving.
