The Madonna with the Christ Child in her arms is suspended in clouds above a group of six saints who look up at them.
Three sketches of a sitting figure are seen on the recto. On the verso, a bird grabs onto the back of a lamb.
Two monkeys are depicted. One monkey sits on a tree limb facing the viewer. The second monkey stands on all fours on the ground.
This composition consists of two plates. The left plate depicts an apple in the top center surrounded by a square. In the bottom right are seven small blocks of gradient colors. The right plate depicts the same composition without the color blocks as well as adding volume to the top and bottom of the apple image.
