This image is created with black ink on paper This print represents a street corner and a view down a street toward Birminghams downtown skyline with the City Federal building seen in the distance On the corner stands a corner store with signs for Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale Coca Cola and Nehi sodas These signs are all reversed Down the left side of the street runs a group of buildings including a café a two story building and a church A power line stands in front of the corner store and runs down the streets on either side of the corner There is a large leafy tree at the left side of the composition
This watercolor and its custom cut gold colored mat represent a stained glass window for a church The format includes two long figural lower panels as well as twelve additional decorative elements above Together all of these cut outs form a pointed gothic arch In the lower left figural panel a woman the Virgin Mary wearing blue drapery kneels in front of a column In the lower right figural panel a man Jesus wearing pink white drapery raises his right arm pointing his index finger
