In this black and white round-format print, a large crane hoists a piece of marble into the air. The stone walls of the marble quarry rise steeply behind the crane, and three figures are positioned below and to the right of the piece of marble being hoisted. In the foreground of the image, a still life includes some of the implements of marble quarrying including a piece of marble, hooks, and ropes.

In this black and white, round format print, male figures work on the deck of two fishing boats. On the deck of the boat at the center of the composition, three men move cod with forked implements while a fourth holds a net from a dock. On the deck of the boat just behind the central boat, a figure works with baskets or buckets. There are two additional boats in the background and many seagulls overhead. At the bottom of the print is a samll still life that includes a codfish and implements related to codfishing.
