This black and white photograph looks into a bedroom through a doorway with ornate turned wood ornamentation above its frame. Through the doorway, a bed can be seen in the middle of the room. The legs and feet of a man laying on the bed are seen. Behind the bed is a chest of drawers with an attached mirror. On the wall behind the mirror, a number of images—likely from popular periodicals—surround the mirror. From the ceiling of the room hangs a single lightbulb.
A color photograph of a fruit bearing pear tree covering most of the picture frame. Small portions of the sky are visible in the top portion of the photograph. To the right portion are dark storm clouds coming in, while between the leaves the left portion of the sky is covered in light and white clouds. Tree branches are hanging low full of ripe pears, while the grassy ground near the tree has many fallen ripened pears. The tree trunk has a simple joist barrier around it. In the grassy field some other trees are visible in the distance.
