This horizontal black and white photograph captures a woman, man, and child as they sit in chairs outside of a building. The woman pictured on the left faces inward towards the man in the center and directs her gaze at him. A child leans against the women who wraps her left arm around the child. A black man sits with outstretched, crossed legs to their right. He holds a stick-like object in both of his hands and directs his gaze upon it. The background is formed by the exterior of a brick and concrete building. The image is surrounded by a thin black border.
Two black-billed magpies are shown, one with wings fully expanded, and another sitting on a tree branch with its stomach to the viewer. The bodies are primarily covered with black and white feathers. The tails and wings contain green, purple, and green feathers with an iridescent-like sheen.

This image is created with black ink on paper. It represents a woman carrying a child in a street with another child by her side. Other figures can be seen on the street in the background. She is near a tree, which stands between her and the houses represented as closest to the viewer. There are two buildings represented on the left side of the street, and a series of buildings receding down the street on the right side of the street. The houses are cut off by the left and right edges of the paper, and the tree extends beyond the upper margin of the image.
