Oval blue jasper medallion with white relief of Cupid burning a butterfly. In Greek mythology the butterfly is said to represent the human soul and as such the burning of the butterfly represents the destructive powers of love.

Small caneware urn decorated with encaustic painting, of amphora shape with black bands around the edge of the foot and stem, the main body decorated with the image of a bearded man and a woman in classical dress at an altar; the man holds a staff and a bowl and the woman a jug (Libation to Zeus?), below them is a band of classical inspiration and around the neck is a decorative band of abstract leafy elements, the reverse of the vase has a purely decorative motif of scrolling vines and anthemions, the handles and lip likewise edged in black.
Pair of bulbous, urn-shaped potpourri vases or bulb pots of solid white jasper with lilac jasper dip and applied white and green jasper relief decoration, each on round foot with band of acanthus leaves, the lower body with stylized acanthus leaves, the main body engine-turned to create an alternating lilac and white checkerboard pattern, with applied green quatrefoils on the white squares, with a band of lotus motifs running around the neck and a band of white jasper around the upper edge, the interiors with sump covers and each with a pierced insert cover with six small and one large hole.
