Small, slightly irregular rectangular tablet with the bas relief image of Vulcan forging the armor for Achilles, in the center stands Vulcan swinging his hammer while another holds a shield on the anvil, in the background are two other figures swinging their hammers, at Vulcan's feet lies part of a suit of armor and on the left sits Venus in Achilles's chariot, classically draped, her body turned toward Vulcan and her left hand brought to her chin, at her feet stands a small, winged Cupid holding Achilles's helmet aloft in his two hands, in the background is the fiery forge on the right and a landscape visible through the brick arches in the center and left; the surface has a slight bronze patina.
Black basalt jug decorated with encaustic painting derived from the Greek "oenochoe" form with a band of red around the foot and detailing the handle, the body decorated with on one side the image of a classical figure holding a mirror aloft and on the other a classical figure in movement holding a wreath, both are making offerings and are derived from a scene of the god Castor in a temple, above the figures at the shoulder is a band of anthemion and tear drop motifs below a band of floral elements, midway on the neck is a band of beading and the lip of the jug is decorated with an egg and dart pattern, the curved, molded handle terminates in a molded mask, perhaps Castor's brother Pollux, wearing a swan headdress above a foliate sprig.
Delicate silver creamer with low, tub-shaped body resting on three hooved feet terminating in splayed leafy elements, with long extended spout and beaded edge, the double C-scroll handle with small thumb rest.
