Chatelaine of white jasperware with dark blue dip and white jasper bas relief set into cut steel mounts with hook at top from which extends a long chain of interlocking links each punctuated in the middle with a small faceted polished jasper bead attached to the chain is a two sided octagonal jasper medallion with on one side in relief a detail from Achilles in his tent Priam pleads with Achilles and on the other classical figures in an unidentified scene from this medallion hang two two link chains set with small faceted dark blue jasper beads with jasper knobs decorated with white bas relief stiff leaf motifs and cut steel and jasper beaded tassels between them hangs a short chain in the style of the long chain above and with two hooks from these hang a key comprised of a cut steel mount and dark blue and white jasper ball suspended in the middle and a seal or signet of cut steel likewise with a dark blue and white jasper ball suspended in the middle the seal engraved with a bird on a heart and the inscription LAmour
