Chatelaine of white jasperware with dark blue dip and white jasper bas relief set into cut steel mounts, with hook at top from which extends a long chain of interlocking links each punctuated in the middle with a small, faceted polished jasper bead, attached to the chain is a two-sided, octagonal jasper medallion with on one side in relief a detail from Achilles in his tent – Priam pleads with Achilles and on the other classical figures in an unidentified scene, from this medallion hang two two-link chains set with small faceted dark blue jasper beads with jasper knobs decorated with white bas relief stiff leaf motifs and cut-steel and jasper beaded tassels, between them hangs a short chain in the style of the long chain above and with two hooks, from these hang a key comprised of a cut-steel mount and dark blue and white jasper ball suspended in the middle, and a seal, or signet, of cut steel, likewise with a dark blue and white jasper ball suspended in the middle, the seal engraved with a bird on a heart and the inscription "L’Amour."
