1. It is unclear how and when the chairs were passed down in the family. It can be assumed that Mrs. Sue Pickett Drennen obtained the objects from her husband, Houston Drennen. Darlyn McDonald Drennen married Emma Houston in December 1894 to combine the two families.
2. Mrs. Sue Pickett Drennen passed in 1970, but the chairs remained on her property with a caretaker, Mrs. Tom Sulzby until 1991.
