This painting looks out onto the sea through two open windows. It is a sunny day, and a dark-hulled, double-masted ship is seen through the left window. Through the right window, we see a dock and a yellow-orange building. Inside the windows there is a table laid with a teacup, two waterglasses, a spoon, a knife, a full basket, a pitcher with flowers, a small dish with a pat of butter, and the corner of a newspaper at the lower right of the canvas. The table is covered with a white tablecloth and to its left is a red wooden chair. To the left of the chair is what looks like part of a door with four panes of glass represented. It is signed in the lower left of the canvas, along a diagonal representing part of the door, "Maurice Freedman."

This print is overall gray-black in color. The central abstract form contains the texture of the wood veneer chine collé. The print represents abstract but anthropomorphic forms resembling folds of skin, eyes, and a bulbous nose. The image is centered, extending beyond the top and bottom of the plate, with vacant space colored by the plate at its left and right.
