Accessibility

The Birmingham Museum of Art welcomes individuals of all abilities to visit the collections and participate in educational programs.

The Museum is fully accessible to all visitors. Special needs are met with designated parking spaces and a ground level entrance adjacent to the Museum parking lot. A limited number of wheelchairs and assisted listening devices (for programs in Steiner Auditorium) are available at the security station near the parking lot entrance. Special tours for the hearing and visually impaired can be arranged in advance. Call 205.254.2318 to schedule a tour.

Braille maps are available for visually impaired guests.  Please ask at the Information Desk in the Lobby, at the security desks at each entrance, or in the Education office.
