Kids and their families have so much to explore at the BMA! Travel to faraway lands, make history come alive, and discover the world of art together in our galleries and family spaces. From family tours and art activities to cultural celebrations on special Family Days, there’s always something new to do. Make plans to visit during one of our many family programs, or stop by anytime for free fun in Bart’s ArtVenture and Bart’s Lair Under the Stairs.

Our First Thursday events will be in the Sculpture Garden, Auditorium, and third floor ONLY. Delacroix and the Matter of Finish, on the third floor, will be open.

Birmingham Fashion Week: Rising Design Star Challenge Closes

The Museum is partnering with Birmingham Fashion Week to present an exhibition of fashion designs from students in grades 6 through 12. Birmingham Fashion Week was founded on the ideals of bringing unity to our community through fashion. Local and national designers, alongside local and national boutiques, and the Birmingham Museum of Art will gather together to promote and inspire our rising stars. Models, make-up artists, and hair stylists will showcase their talents on the runway, while encouraging locals and visitors to explore the creative talents of Birmingham.

Indian Cultural Society Concert

The Indian Cultural Society invites you to TRILOGY, a confluence of northern Indian music by three master musicians. The concert features the music of Dr. Rajeeb Chakraborty, eminent sarod player, Mr. Jesse Bannister, leading UK saxophonist, and Pt. Subhen Chatterjee, internationally acclaimed tabla maestro. Experience some of the best in northern Indian culture with this exceptional collaboration by the three musicians.
