Join the Junior Patrons for the evening to celebrate the arrival of this year’s most anticipated exhibit, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness! We will enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres in the Museum’s Sculpture Garden. The exhibit will be open exclusively for the Junior Patrons that evening, and Dr. Graham Boettcher will offer a special curator-led tour of this outstanding show.

Art After Dark in the Vineyard!-- June 6, 2009
The Junior Patrons of the Birmingham Museum of Art partnered with Morgan Creek Vineyards on June 6th to bring the most exclusive access to an evening of art, music, fireworks, and wine tasting.
For just $20, JPS enjoyed chartered transportation to the event, boxed gourmet dinner, an art show, access to the Junior Patron VIP area, wine tastings, tours of the Vineyard, a fireworks display, and live music by Marc Harris.
Participating artists included Ruth Yarbrough, Les Yarbrough, Libby Wright, and Mary Jean Henke from Artists Incorporated; Donna Branch from Galerie Allegria; and Dori DeCamillis and Scott Bennett from The Red Dot Gallery.
Junior Patron VIP Section at Art on the Rocks -- May 29, 2009
The Junior Patrons enjoyed an exclusive VIP section at Art on the Rocks. The balcony overlooking the Sculpture Garden featured a private bar, buffet, and seating area. Just another perk of Junior Patron membership!
Art Show and Wine Tasting -- April 30, 2009
The Junior Patrons enjoyed an evening of wine tasting and artistry at Village Wine Market in English Village! The event showcased a broad selection of fine wines, the work of talented local artists Stutts Everette, Bethanne Hill, Gina Hurry, and Nelson Grice, and a live painting demonstration. Local artists kindly sponsored by Monty Stabler Galleries.
Sinatra Style: Contemporary Art and Dance -- March 26th, 2009
The Junior Patrons and the Alabama Ballet Junior Board held a dynamic evening at the Birmingham Museum of Art, featuring a dazzling ballet performance, selected pieces of contemporary art, and a live Frank Sinatra band. Dancers decked in elegant costumes by famed designer Oscar de la Renta impressed the crowd with a brief preview performance of Twyla Tharp's "Nine Sinatra Songs." A live band played songs by Ol’ Blue Eyes himself, as guests browsed specially selected contemporary works by Sid Avery that took guests back to the heyday of the Rat Pack.
Film Screening at Rojo -- February 17th, 2009
The Junior Patrons enjoyed a screening of the film Who the #$&% is Jackson Pollock? over dinner and drinks in the private room at Rojo.
Holiday Party at the Matt Jones Gallery — December 11th, 2008
Our lively holiday party at the Matt Jones Gallery featured fabulous art, heavy hors d’oeuvres, festive music courtesy of The Pineapple Skinners.
Sloss Furnaces Iron Pour — November 13th, 2008
The Junior Patrons held an Iron Pour at the historic Sloss Furnaces and created fabulous works of cast iron art! Members and guests designed their own sand stone and watched as a Sloss Metal Artist poured molten iron into their molds. At the end of the night, everyone lft Sloss with an original cast iron work of art. Fall refreshments were provided.
Art after Dark: Leonardo da Vinci — October 9th, 2008
Three hundred Junior Patrons and their guests came out for an after-hours opportunity at the Museum to see the highly acclaimed Leonardo da Vinci exhibit. We made it a true Italian affair with Italian food, beer, and even an Italian wine tasting on a perfect fall evening in the Sculpture Garden.
Art on the Rocks VIP area — July 18th, 2008
The Junior Patrons got away from the crowds this year at Art on the Rocks at the third floor VIP area. We enjoyed complimentary beer and wine as well as an awesome view of all the activity going on in the Sculpture Garden.
The Village Wine Market: Wine Tasting and Art Presentation —June 12th, 2008
Several talented local artists from the Naked Art Gallery presented their amazing work to our group at the Village Wine Market. JPs browsed the diverse selections of art as we tasted many different wines provided by our sponsor, International Wines, Inc.
