Collectors Circle trip to Atlanta
We are currently scheduling visits to multiple private collections, the newly renovated Contemporary, artist studios, and we will be attending the opening exhibition of one of our own Collector Circle member, Amy Pleasant, Friday night at Whitespace Gallery. Amy Pleasant received a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from The Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA.
Collector’s Circle City visit to Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts
The Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts is a planned 26,000 square-foot facility to house art galleries, lecture halls, classrooms and offices for the UAB Department of Art & Art History. The center will replace the current UAB Visual Arts Gallery in the Humanities Building. It aims to take its place with the Birmingham Museum of Art as premier destinations for contemporary arts programming.
Collectors Circle Travel to Dallas/Fort Worth
Join the Collectors Circle in Dallas/ Fort Worth as we explore The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Tadeo Ando Building, Rochofsky Warehouse, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Contemporary, CentralTrak, Dallas Cowboy Stadium and local galleries Conduit Gallery, Marty Walker Gallery and Talley Dunn Gallery. Members will also visit private collections including The Goss Michael Collection with featured artists: MARTIN BOYCE / JAKE AND DINOS CHAPMAN / TRACEY EMIN / CERITH WYN EVANS / ANTONY GORMLEY / DAMIEN HIRST / BETHAN HUWS / JOHN ISAACS/ RICHARD LONG / SARAH LUCAS / MARC QUINN.
Salons are an opportunity for members to get together in a casual setting and consider the latest happening, whether it is an acquisition by a member or the museum, an opening, a new artist, an art magazine article or a Collectors Circle trip. The topics are limitless and we welcome your ideas and offers to host. Gatherings so far have encouraged lively conversations.
