They will voyage through the Museum’s galleries, experiment with new artistic techniques and exciting materials, and discover new ways to connect with art. EXPLORE! Dive into movements of impressionism, symbolism, cubism, futurism, surrealism, pop art, minimal art, abstract expressionism, conceptual art and more! DISCOVER! Discover new ways to connect with art during adventurous voyages through the Museum. Spend time thoughtfully observing and exchanging ideas and interpretations of real works of art. Investigate the artistic trends used in modern and contemporary drawings, paintings, sculpture, photography and installation art. Find inspiration in the Museum’s personal collection created by internationally famous artists such as Joan Mitchell, Kerry James Marshall, Louise Nevelson, and George Rickey as well as younger generation of artists who are defining the new century. CREATE! Let your creativity take flight! Experiment with a variety of techniques originated by the famous 20th and 21st century artists who found many exciting new ways to look at everyday objects and think outside of the box. Take satisfaction in recreating a structured hard edge painting or delight in expressive splatter painting.
