The Birmingham Museum of Art is pleased to present an after-hours experience on the first Thursday of each month. Wander the galleries, sip cocktails in the garden, catch a movie, or sit down with friends for tapas at Oscar's. The Museum is open for your enjoyment until 9PM.

At 6PM, Museum Librarian Tatum Preston will lead a discussion of the Between the Lines selection, Utz by Bruce Chatwin. Utz is a best-selling novel that tells the story of a collector of Meissen porcelain in Cold War Czechoslovakia.

Oscar's will serve tapas for $12 per person. Cash bar available. Tapas menu includes:

Alabama Grown turnip green & bacon dip with corn crisp
Fried chicken tenders with honey mustard
Black-eyed pea & artichoke dip with corn crisp
Bourbon & molasses glazed pork tenderloin with buttermilk biscuits and orange jalapeno chutney
Meatballs smothered in southern tomato gravy
Deep south hot wings
Grilled winter vegetables with artesian oils and vinegars
