ArtBreak: Objectives of the Tea Ceremony

Today’s ArtBreak is led by Urasenke Birmingham, demonstrating a traditional tea ceremony. Explore the ancient traditions and significance of the tea ceremony in Japanese culture.

This Sunday, we will look slowly at Helen Frankenthaler’s piece Sun Mountain.

Hear about her process of collecting, working with the BMA, and now sending the exhibition across the country.

Bart’s Books: I, Doko

Bart’s Books is a storytelling program for children ages 4-7. Bart selects a new book and related work of art each month that he thinks kids will enjoy.

This month, Bart has selected Ed Young’s I Doko: The Tale of a Basket.
