Panelists Edwin Marty, Executive Director of Jones Valley Urban Farm, Jason Powell of Petals from the Past, and Fred Spicer, the Executive Director of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, converse about the slow food movement. Beginning in Turin, Italy in 1986, this movement emphasizes using locally grown foods and sustainable agriculture.
Hors d’oeuvres inspired by the slow food movement and a cash bar are available in the Sculpture Garden. Red Mountain Orchestra performs period pieces from the time of Leonardo da Vinci. |
