camp1Summer 2014′s Art Camp theme is Power, Symbols, and Beauty!

Campers travel the globe this summer through original artworks in the Museum. Each of our camps encourage campers to experiment with new artistic techniques and materials while making connections between cultures. A world of discovery awaits your camper this summer!

The Museum Studio Summer Art Camp is the only summer experience that gives your camper immediate access to our collection of original artworks from around the world. Give your child a summer of endless inspiration at the Museum.

All About Africa – Explore animals, patterns, costumes, and materials in African art. Discover stories about each culture and the artworks they used. Create artworks that celebrate and honor the diversity of Africa.

Japanamania! – A camp where old customs meet new technology. Discover the connection between samurai armor and manga and anime (Japanese comic books and cartoons). Explore paper arts, costumes, and the Japanese style.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Things come up! You may cancel your camp reservation up to the Friday before your registered camp begins. You will receive a refund of your payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Refund will be issued via check within two weeks of cancellation.

Enhance your art practice and build your portfolio during this summer intensive—a week of professional-level art making and instruction. Students will take inspiration from African and Japanese cultures to create artworks about power, symbolism, and concepts of beauty.
