Feed your body and mind at lunchtime every Tuesday at noon. Join us for these free 20-30 minute gallery talks, then stay for lunch at Oscar’s. They’ll even include a free dessert!

Our friends from the Birmingham Zoo will discuss the animals represented in the sculptures from the Arctic Beauty: Inuit Sculpture from Canada exhibition, their adaptations to their environment, and how they relate to Inuit culture. The focus will be on birds and mammals.

A 19th-century critic coined the term "impressionism" as a derogatory reference to the relative unfinished qualities of Claude Monet's Impression: Sunrise. Leta Woller, education intern, explores what it was about that style- though much beloved today- that shocked audiences and the contemporary art establishment.

Associate Curator of Education Suzy Harris will discuss how the Museum's collection of American Art is used to enhance K-12 curriculum with local school groups. The Museum was recently the recipient of a prestigious Kennedy Center grant which makes such programs possible to museums across the United States.
