The Museum offers programs that are fun for the entire family. Family Days and programs are offered throughout the year. Explore the art in our collection, create artwork of your own, and learn about art through storytelling, film, music, and a multitude of ways that makes learning fun!



Bart's Art Cart

BART’S ART CART // NEW

SATURDAYS 11 AM–1 PM · SUNDAYS 1–3 PM / FREE

Beginning September 18, the Museum is offering a new, fun, and free drop-in art program for kids and families. Visit Bart’s Art Cart in the main lobby to explore great art and create some of your own with the help of our Teen Volunteers. Each month will highlight a different gallery and feature a new art activity. Learn how to look at art with your child. Stop by and make art with Bart!

Family Day August

FAMILY DAY: TOTALLY TANABATA

SATURDAY · AUGUST 28 · 11 AM–3 PM FREE FUN FOR FAMILIES!

Tanabata is a Japanese star festival that celebrates the meeting of two mythological figures. Legend says that the Milky Way, a river made from stars that crosses the sky, separates these lovers. They are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar. Celebrate this important festival with art activities, dance, music, scavenger hunts, Japanese treats and more.
