| $25

Event Navigation

Zentangle® is an easy-to-learn method of meditative drawing that has applications in educational, clinical and corporate settings. By creating art from drawing repetitive patterns, Zentangling increases focus and creativity. Debbie Dumais, a Gifted Education Specialist at Fultondale Elementary School and a Certified Zentangle(R) Teacher (CZT) will instruct teachers on how to use the Zentangle Classroom Apprentice kit with their students. In this workshop she will share the benefits of using Zentangle in a classroom setting and will provide participants with Zentangle Apprentice tiles, pens, pencils, tortillion, a booklet for notes, and lesson plans for using Zentangle in the classroom. She will bring student work samples and will have other Zentangle materials available for purchase. The Zentangle® art form and method was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Zentangle® is a registered trademark of Zentangle, Inc.

Please note: This workshop is provided free of charge for all Jefferson County and Birmingham City School System teachers!

Please contact our Education department at 205.254.2571 to register.
