Yakov Kasman, internationally renowned concert pianist Beginning at 6pm, curators will give guided tours of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness (ticket purchase required) and Lift Every Voice: African-American Art from the Permanent Collection FREE*. Internationally renowned concert pianist and UAB Artist-in Residence Yakov Kasman is guest pianist. Since his American debut as the silver medallist at the 10th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1997, Kasman has performed concerts in the U.S., Russia, Europe, and Asia, and appeared as soloist with more than 40 orchestras worldwide. Active as a chamber musician, he has collaborated with the Manhattan, Parissi, Charleston, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Talich String Quartets. *Concert is free.
