Inaugural Bunting Biennial Ceramics Symposium

With over 15,000 ceramics objects, Birmingham Museum of Art has one of the most comprehensive ceramics collections in the Southeast, with pieces spanning the globe and thousands of years. In celebration of this collection and to learn more about the objects' similarities and differences, BMA is hosting the inaugural Bunting Biennial Ceramics Symposium, held in conjunction with the Alabama Clay Conference from February 22-23, 2013. The symposium, "Clay Embodied: Ceramics and the Human Form," will explore the relationship between ceramics and the human body with a schedule of prominent ceramics experts and artists. The symposium is free and open to the public!  To see the full schedule of events, please click here
