Summer Fund 2010

With a collection of over 24,000 works of art, the Birmingham Museum of Art inspires visitors everyday through exhibits and programs designed to enhance the experience and connection with a work of art. In addition to remaining open and free to the public, the Museum offers a variety of activities, events, and programming to supplement our collection and exhibitions.

The Summer Fund supports almost every Museum function, from school tours, studio classes and summer art camp, to our renowned traveling exhibitions and popular summer series, Art on the Rocks. Check out our video of Museum Director, Gail Andrews, to learn more about this essential fund.

Help us continue to inspire at the Birmingham Museum of Art. Please donate to the Summer Fund today! Thank you for your support.

Tomorrow I’m meeting with staff members of the Civil Rights Institute to discuss some collaborative programming.

MyMuseum is a blog inspired by the varied experiences of those who work  at the Birmingham Museum of Art. In this one space, we want to share, from the many voices that make up the museum family, the ways the institution and the people behind it have touched us. Sometimes it will be about the art. Sometimes it will be about the people.  Sometimes it will be about the events that educate and enlighten. It will always be told from the perspective of an individual and about their relationship with this institution.
